Five on Friday....On Sunday.

So, Im a little late this weekend.  Between being kinda busy and SUPER exhausted I totally forgot about Five on Friday.  So, this Five on Sunday is going to be about dreams.  Because I would REALLY REALLY love to sleep long enough to dream a little!

1) You cannot snore and dream at the same time.

2) The average person has about 1,460 dreams a year. That’s about four per night.

3) Aside from those who experience certain kinds of injury, it’s a biological fact that everyone dreams. However, not everyone remembers his or her dreams.

4) In general, pregnant women remember dreams more than other populations. This is largely due to the extreme hormonal changes during pregnancy.

5) Childhood dreams are shorter than adult dreams and nearly 40% of them are nightmares, which may act as a coping mechanism.

Five on Friday!!

If you have read my last blog than you know that I have just found out that I am about 6 weeks pregnant with our second child.  Because of this, I am going to base my Five on Friday tonight on Pregnancy facts!

1) The number of multiple births has increased by more than 400 percent, yes, that’s right, 400 percent over the last 20 years.

2) The number of women whose labor is induced has more than doubled since 1990, to about 10 percent of births.

3) The number of babies which are being born prematurely has risen. This is because of the rise in twin births and in thee increase in scheduled cesarean births.

4) Tuesday is the most popular day for babies making their arrival in the world, with Saturday being the least busiest day of the week. This is more than likely because most doctors do not schedule c-sections for Saturdays.

5) In 1970 the average age for a first-time mother was about 21, but in today’s world the age is 25-29.

Hope you have a good weekend!

Cady would like to make an announcement!

After a year of trying we finally found out that we are expecting our second child!
Cady is going to be a big sister in aprox. 34 weeks! We are beyond excited!!

Im in a funk.....

Ive been in kind of a funk lately...I cant think of anything to blog about, I cant get myself up to clean the house, I cant get myself excited to go places, I cant get myself to do any crafting....Pretty much all I want to do is sit in my blue chair with my matching blue footstool.  Normally you would see me with my laptop on my lap with the TV playing in the background where I am listening but not really watching it, but lately I haven't even wanted to do that.  I haven't been interested in anything online, Facebook seems boring to me....which is odd because if you know me you know I LOVE Facebook.  I started crocheting a scarf for my mom on Monday and haven't touched it since, I just cant get any motivation to do anything!  I don't really want to talk to anyone, hang out with anyone or go anywhere.  With the exception of Cady.  Since I have a history of Depression my mind automatically goes to "OH NO!  Am I going in that direction again!?!?"  But then the other part of me just accepts the fact that I am just in a funk....I get in these moods at times, there really isn't anything I can do to change them, just mask them when I'm around people, pretend that I'm excited and in a good mood....Is that really healthy?  Does that really help?  Will I have to deal with this for the rest of my life?  Do I need to go back to the Dr's and up my medication dose or change my medication?  There are so many questions rolling through my mind.

Unforunatley, I cant find the motivation right now to get the answers for them.

Im annoyed....

There really isn't just one reason why I am annoyed....I just am.  I think sometimes a bunch of little things build up and make it into one REALLY BIG REASON WHY I AM ANNOYED! So, instead of trying to pick through things and figure out what is really the culprit I'm just going to make a list of random things that annoy me and share it with you.....I hope I don't annoy you with my list! :-)

*I get annoyed when people pee on the toilet seat and don't clean it up.
*I get annoyed when people leave their turning signal on for miles and never turn.
*I get annoyed when I am cleaning and my hubby is sitting on the couch playing a video game.
*I get annoyed when people pretend to support me and then take my ideas and try and take the credit for it.
*I get annoyed when I cant think of anything to blog about.
*I get annoyed when I am hungry but I cant find anything that I want to eat.
*I get annoyed when I procrastinate and then I am always rushing in the end.
*I get annoyed when I am always late.
*I get annoyed when no one shows up to the play dates that I plan for our play date group.
*I get annoyed when people are overly dramatic and exaggerate EVERYTHING!
*I get annoyed when there is nothing on tv.
*I get annoyed when people complain about everything and ask your advice so you give it to them but they NEVER change!
***And the biggest thing that annoys me of all is that I still don't really know why I'm annoyed!

Ok....I think I will stop now...lol....I don't want to start to annoy you with my list!  I hope you had a wonderful Monday and I pray your Tuesday will be good as well!

Emma, Cady and......Josh....

Since I have the most beautiful and sweet little niece in the world I have taken the opportunity to use her as a model for some of my headbands and bows for my business CadyMayDesigns. I took some pictures yesterday and just wanted to share them with you all because I am so proud at how they turned out and how beautiful she looks in them!  I also cant forget my gorgeous CadyBug either, however, she is in the midst of being a 2 year old so her model shots aren't quite what I was looking for but I still love them as much as Emmas!  Lol.  If you make it all the way to the bottom of this post (Its pretty pic-heavy!) I'm even adding a very special picture at the end.

Five on Friday!!

Since most of my blog is geared towards being a mom this week we will be learning about Animal Mommies!

Elephants have the longest pregnancy in the animal kingdom at 22 months.

Whale Calves nurse for 7 to 8 months and are weaned when they reach 52 feet (16 m) in length. At that time they weigh about 23 tons (20,900 kg). During the nursing period, calves consume 100 gallons of the fat-rich mother’s milk each day.

Male seahorses can actually give birth to offspring.

Kangaroos have two wombs.

Giraffes are born with the mother standing up, on the lookout for predators. That means a long drop of 5 to 7 feet to the ground — long enough to break the baby’s umbilical cord.

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

EXTRA, EXTRA!!!

EXTRA, EXTRA!!!

Read all about it:
We have made it through the first week with no bottle!!!

I would like to announce that Cady May is officially a Big Girl Cuppy drinker!!  After a struggle on her part as well as my own we have survived our first week without a bottle and things seem to be going great!  She has only asked for a baba a couple times and I just remind her that we had to give them to Baby Emma (my neice) (which we really didnt, I just had to think of a reason to give her! lol) and she seems fine with that!  Its great, we are one step closer to Super Big Girl time.......POTTY TRAINING!

Five on Friday!!

For the first 5 on Friday of 2010 I am going to just give you random facts!  This will keep things short and sweet so you can recover from all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season!

1) Guinness Book of Records holds the record for being the book most often stolen from Public Libraries.

2)  On average, 12 newborns will be given to the wrong parents, daily.
(This is REALLY scary!)

3) By raising your legs slowly and lying on your back, you can't sink in quicksand.

(and you thought this list was completely useless)

 4) 40% of McDonald's profits come from the sales of Happy Meals.

5) There are no clocks in Las Vegas gambling casinos.

I wish you a VERY Happy New Year!
I have a feeling 2010 will be a good year for us!
