Relatives who live in BC had their son diagnosed as autistic when he was 18 months. My grandson was 4 in Alberta before he could get the speech therapy he needs so desperately. Boys get diagnosed before girls ( 3 to 5 for boys and 10 for girls) on average. It all seems so unfair. One reason parents want early diagnosis is that early intervention is so vital.
