18 weeks and a green thumb!

Today I am officially 18 weeks along!  Only TWO more weeks until our 20 week ultrasound where we can hopefully find out what we are having!  I am SO anxious to know!  Its almost like I NEED to know....I am such a preparer that I have to have everything ready for the baby when they arrive and since I am a shopoholic I have been itching to buy some new baby items!!   I'm not too fond of the gender neutral options or the lack there of out there!  The selection is getting smaller by the day, it is either Pink or Blue and I want to make sure I have enough of whatever color we need on hand for the baby! My Grandma and Mom swear we are having a boy this time, but I really need a picture confirmation before I run out to by Little Slugger outfits and mini suits for church.

On a different note, Cady and I have decided to venture into the art of growing our own flowers for our flower bed outside!  Last year when I stopped working full time we started working on some landscaping during the day and we have one flower bed with perennials and one smaller one that I put annuals in so that Cady and I can plant them together.  Normally I would just go to the store and buy flats of annuals for her to plant but this year to save some money as well as to try something new that she would have fun with we decided to grow our own in the house before we plant them outside!  Since I wasn't too sure if I have a green thumb or not, I started with a small amount to see how we do.  We planted Pansy's and some sort of Mexican Sunflower if I remember correctly and I am happy to report that we have a Green Thumb!!  We planted these on Tuesday and only 5 days later this is what I woke up too!

Cady is thrilled with her flowers and asks to look at them every time we are in the kitchen!  I cant wait until they are ready to plant in the ground so that we can see our handiwork outside making our yard pretty!

My newest impulse buy.....That Im currently in LOVE with!!

Ok....I will admit....This was a TOTAL impulse buy....And I may or may not have told my hubby how much I paid for it... ;-)...For those of you who haven't noticed I am expecting our second child in September.  With a 2 1/2 year old daughter already it is only natural to start looking for a double stroller.  Since we do a lot of walking, shopping, zoo trips ect., the stroller will get A lot of use!  Well, here is what makes my beloved Combi Twin Sport EX Stroller in Wasabi a total impulse buy: First off, I just bought a double stroller about 2 months ago....the front to back style and for the most part I really like it.  And secondly, when I ventured into Portage this morning I had absolutely no intentions of even looking at strollers let alone buying one!!

So here is my story, My mom and I were at a play date today at McDonald's and this lady walked in pushing this stroller with her two boys in tow.  Not only did I think it was SUPER cute but I noticed that it fit right through the door with no problem and that she was pushing it with one hand and didn't seem to have trouble maneuvering it.  So, my mom started asking her about it and she pretty much sold me right there!!  But she did make the comment that it is a little pricey than normal strollers...which Combi's generally are.  So, of course I got the bright idea to head to Babies R Us JUST to check it out and see if it would be something I would want to invest in and then I was going to look it up online and see if I could find it cheaper.....

Well, you guessed it, as soon as I saw it and pushed it around the store I fell in love!  I wanted it right away and of course there was only one box left AND it was on Clearance....So in my mind I HAD to buy it right then or else there wouldn't be anymore left!!  So, I didn't do anything I said I was going to do like research it online, talk to hubby about it, check the reviews.....I just bought it.....Impulsively.....

BUT on a good note, I LOVE IT and it fits in the back of my van which even my single stroller was too big to fit back there, Cady Loves it, I have a feeling the new baby is gonna love it, so all in all I think THIS impulse buy was well worth it.....Lets just hope the next one is too!

Have any of you ever used a Combi stroller before?  Im interested in hearing what your thoughts are on this brand.  I have to admit after one day of having mine I would recommend it already!

A Wonderful Celebration!

We had a Wonderful Easter Sunday!  My day started at 6:30am when I woke up to get ready for Sunrise service.  The special thing about Sunrise service this year was that I was the one who was speaking this year!  I gave a sermon on Matthew 28 and it seemed to have gone well!  I got some great feedback!

After Sunrise service I came home and the Easter bunny showed up to our house to visit Cady!  He left some items for her!

After she finished checking out her goodies we headed to 11am service not only to celebrate that our Lord has Risen but  also to celebrate the Baptism of my niece Emma!

From church we headed to Grandpa F's to have lunch with Leif's side of the family!

Then our final destination for the day was to my mom's for an Easter Egg hunt and dinner!

Overall we had a Wonderful Day!  It was Very busy but also Very worth it!  I hope everyone enjoyed their day and were able to worship and revel in the fact that our Lord has Risen!

They asked and I delivered......

Some of you may have noticed that I have my own At Home Business called CadyMayDesigns.  I make hairbows and tutus and lovie/taggie blankets and then sell them online.  Well, I have been asked by multiple people to start making some headband or bows with Skull embellishments on them.....well....I have hesitated.....and put it off....and ignored them....but finally I gave in!  I decided that even though I wouldn't put skull items on my baby doesn't mean that it doesn't look cute on others or that I should deny them the opportunity!  So, I just wanted to show off some of my latest products.  And if by chance you are interested in looking at more items just head on over to Facebook and search CadyMayDesigns or go to http://www.artfire.com/users/CadyMayDesigns.
